Dr. Kabita Sangma Choudhury is a burns-care-focused Sr expert clinician at Nemcare Hospital, Guwahati, with a strong commitment to advancing burn management practices across Northeast India. Holding a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery, PGDMCH & MBA in ( H & HM ) she combines clinical expertise with a deep involvement in training and community-oriented healthcare initiatives.

She has served as a Junior Consultant in the hospital’s dedicated Burn Unit, where she is actively involved in the comprehensive management of burn-injury patients. Beyond clinical care, Dr. Choudhury has played an important role in capacity-building through her association with the Burn Care Foundation. She has contributed to Essential Burn Care (EBC) training programs conducted in collaboration with INTERBURNS, in the entire North-Eastern states , training doctors and nurses in critical aspects of first aid in burns, emergency response, and early-stage burns management.

Through her participation in large-scale training initiatives—impacting numerous healthcare professionals—she has significantly contributed to strengthening burn-care delivery at intermediate and peripheral healthcare levels.
