With an illustrious career spanning over 28 years, Dr. Jadu Nath Buragohain MS, MCh (Surgical Oncology) is a highly respected senior surgical oncologist at Nemcare Hospital, Guwahati, and a pioneer in advanced cancer surgery in Northeast India. He is the first surgeon from the region to earn an MCh in Surgical Oncology from the prestigious Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, setting a benchmark in specialized cancer care.
Dr. Buragohain is renowned for performing a wide range of complex cancer surgeries, including head and neck cancer reconstructions using micro vascular free flap techniques, hepatopancreaticobiliary surgeries like the Whipple procedure, thoracic procedures such as esophagectomy and lung surgeries, as well as oncological surgeries involving the gastrointestinal, urological, breast, and gynecological systems.
