Dr. (Prof.) Pradip Kumar Baruah, MBBS, MS (Orthopedics), is a distinguished Orthopedic Surgeon and Academic Leader with over three decades of teaching and clinical experience. A native of Lakhimpur, he completed his MBBS (1985) and MS in Orthopaedics (1990) from Gauhati Medical College, where he laid the foundation for an illustrious career in orthopedic surgery and medical education.
With over 30 years of teaching experience, Dr. Baruah has mentored countless medical professionals and remains deeply committed to public awareness, education, and the prevention of orthopedic and trauma-related disorders. His extensive international training includes an AO Fellowship in Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgery at Albert-Ludwig University, Freiburg, Germany, a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and another from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, reflecting his pursuit of global standards in orthopedic care.
Dr. Baruah’s areas of expertise encompass joint replacement, trauma management, sports injuries, spinal disorders, and bone tumors. Currently serving as a Director at Nemcare Super Speciality Hospital and the Nemcare Advanced Joint Replacement Centre, he is widely respected for his clinical precision, leadership, and dedication to advancing orthopedic excellence in Northeast India.
